Yes, the Blue Jackets are struggling to score goals. Yes, Sonny Milano has the ability to score goals.

When you put two and two together, today's news isn't all that surprising. Columbus is adding Milano to the roster (using one of its four post-deadline recalls) and he will accompany the team to Pittsburgh this afternoon. The Blue Jackets and Penguins do battle tomorrow night at PPG Paints Arena, a match-up that has serious home-ice implications as Columbus currently trails Pittsburgh by one point in the Metropolitan Division standings.

Selected by the Blue Jackets 16th overall in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Milano has one assist in five career NHL games for Columbus, including two contests this season. He made his Blue Jackets debut at the New York Islanders on Mar. 31, 2016 and registered his first career point with an assist in the following game at Carolina on Apr. 2, 2016.

Milano has enjoyed a solid season in Cleveland, but his recall comes at a pivotal time for the Monsters, who are now in a playoff position after a big win over the weekend. They're now without their top scoring weapon, but the Blue Jackets are hoping Milano can add a spark to a scuffling offense that can't buy a goal right now.
