Blue Jackets Cut Seven From Training Camp Roster, Now Down to 29 Players

The Columbus Blue Jackets have cut seven players after their preseason game against the St. Louis Blues. The current roster after today's cuts has 29 players on it.

The following players have been cut from the roster:

  • Forward Vitaly Abramov
  • Forward Calvin Thurkauf
  • Forward Nick Moutrey
  • Defenseman Dean Kukan
  • Forward Justin Scott
  • Defenseman Brady Austin
  • Forward John Mitchell

Both Austin and Mitchell were released from their tryout agreements. No Blue Jacket players are on waivers today.

The Blue Jackets have two more games this preseason including Thursday, September 28 against the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena at 8 P.M. and Saturday, September 30 against the Pittsburgh Penguins at PPG Paints Arena at 3 P.M.
