John Tortorella didn't speak much during his post-game press conference following the Columbus Blue Jackets' 4-3 overtime loss to the Washington Capitals in Game 5, but he did make a guarantee.

When asked how he would get his team ready emotionally for the next one, he had a mic drop moment.

“I won't have to say a damn word to them,” Tortorella said. “We'll be back here for Game 7.”

The Blue Jackets head coach had just watched his team play perhaps its best game of the series, outshooting the Capitals, 42-29, before falling in the extra session.

He was feeling it and said as much before exiting his postgame press conference.

This series has already seen one guarantee ring true, when Alex Ovechkin told reporters that the Capitals would return to Washington tied despite a 2-0 Blue Jackets series lead.

Tortorella's promise hinges on the Blue Jackets winning at home – something they were unable to do in Games 3 and 4.
