Brandon Dubinsky was sent home from Las Vegas by the Blue Jackets Tuesday to deal with "ongoing personal issues," according to a report from Aaron Portzline in The Athletic.

Portzline goes on to report that the unnamed issues have plagued Dubinsky this season and "could threaten his career."

A team spokesman declined to comment when asked about the situation, but Dubinsky's agent, Kurt OVerhardt, denied his client was sent home for disciplinary reasons.

Dubinsky, who has missed the Blue Jackets' last 17 games after suffering a fractured left eye socket in a fight with Edmonton's Zack Kassian, lost his alternate captain "A" earlier in the season.
