His name is Joonas, and he's carrying the net.

Goaltender Joonas Korpisalo is making his third straight start for the Columbus Blue Jackets and with it, leaves goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky on the bench for nearly a week of action.

The announcement came courtesy of head coach John Tortorella as he met with the gathered media.

Despite only having a .897 save percentage on the season, Korpisalo is still outpacing Bobrovsky thus far. In Korpisalo's previous two games, he's in total let in eight goals, which may not seem great – but he's actually stopping more shots than expected/projected given the quality of chances coming his way.

The Blue Jackets play the Detroit Red Wings tonight, a 7 p.m. puck drop at Nationwide Arena. The game will be broadcast on FOX Sports Ohio and FOX Sports Go (mobile).
