Blue Jackets Add Defenseman Adam McQuaid In Deadline Day Trade with New York Rangers

Defenseman Adam McQuaid was acquired by the Columbus Blue Jackets from the New York Rangers ahead of the NHL trade deadline.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have their depth defenseman. 

The Blue Jackets acquired defenseman Adam McQuaid from the New York Rangers when they gave up a 2019 4th and 7th round pick for the player.

This leaves two draft picks left for the Blue Jackets in the 2019 draft. They have two picks left for the 2019 draft they have their 3rd round pick and another 7th round pick that came in the Dzingel trade.

McQuaid has played in 36 games this season scoring two goals and helping with three assists for a total of five points.

Update: Defenseman Julius Bergman who was acquired in the Duchene trade is also going to the New York Rangers as part of this trade.
