The Columbus Blue Jackets kicked off their 2025-26 schedule announcement with a hilarious video parody of the prank show "Jackass" and every second of it was great.
The video opens with a grainy, hand-held camera aesthetic, immediately setting the tone with the all-to-familiar warning not to try this at home.
"I'm Dean Evason. Welcome to Jackets," head coach Dean Evason says before ripping a distracted tee shot on the golf course.
We see players, and even some unsuspecting staff, putting themselves through absurd challenges, all while subtly revealing opponents and dates. You've got guys fighting with tunas, someone in a penguin costume getting shelled on the boards at the Ice Haus, sand-in-the-helmet pranks and so much more.
For a team with high hopes heading into the 2025-26 season, it's great to see the marketing team setting an early tone.
