It's too bloody hot. Hockey GMs seem to sleep through the month. The good UFAs signed weeks ago and the UFAs hoping to catch on with someone are trying to decide whether to accept a PTO, sign with an AHL team or head to Europe (Except Patrick Laine who seems to think some NHL GM will go insane and give him a big bucks multi-year contract). Even Adam Fantilli's negotiations are paused while he's on vacation in Italy. Even having a couple guys come to Columbus for their end of off-season workouts would be a welcome break in the lack of news. I'm so bored that I'm humming Monty Python's Lumberjack Song on and off just to make myself chuckle.
