Elite company for one of the best to do it in franchise history.

Zach Werenski's sixth goal of the season on Tuesday was the 400th point of his career, coming during the Columbus Blue Jackets' 5-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets.

Werenski is on a four-game point streak (two goals, three assists) and is the first defenseman to hit the 400-point mark in Blue Jackets franchise history. He trails Cam Atkinson (402) and Rick Nash (547) for the top two spots.

"Obviously, it's better when you win, but you gotta enjoy some of the milestones along the way," Werenski said. "I've been fortunate enough to play with good players here on good teams. I love it here, so I'll take the 400 and enjoy it."

Werenski will try to keep it going when he and the Blue Jackets take on the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday night from Scotiabank Arena.
