I am confident in saying Andy has exceeded the CBJ's expectations for an early 4th round pick (thank you again Scott Howson for finding another later round over-achiever).
The question is what is his ceiling?
- Rookie year: 17 Gs and 29 Pts
- Sophomore year: 19 Gs and 30 Pts in 63 games which would have extended out to 24 Gs and 38 Pts over an 80 game season
- This season: 7 Gs and 8 Pts in 12 games which would be 47 Gs and 53 Pts over an 80 game season. I know this is incredibly unlikely but...
I think he looks like a legit 25 G scorer and could he surprise and be a 30 G scorer? He's not a skill guy and not built for the PP but his speed and power and hard shot makes him an effective freight train rolling down the tracks. I would not want to see him regularly on the top line and think 3rd line would be best for him to thrive.
