Several hockey sources published Sunday June 9 that CapFriendly is being purchased by the Washington Capitals and will go dark to the general public on July 5. If the news reports are true, it is just one more reason to root against the Capitals. CapFriendly has been a great resource for regular hockey fans and I know a number of you utilize it.

As an alternative, I have found Puckpedia. It is certainly a workable solution but at at first glance it doesn't seem as comprehensive or have as many tools as CapFriendly. Hopefully with all the new traffic next month Puckpedia will be able to invest in an upgrade.
