Questions I ask myself that don't seem to have a correct answer.

Was it a mistake to trade Korpisalo? I mean, okay, maybe he's never become a reliable starter, but I bet he'd be better backing up Jet than Elvis. Maybe even a true 1B. Or would he have gone the way Tarasov did?

Don't you think Waddell would love to slap John Davidson for trading Andrew Peeke? Peeker's a better overall defenseman than just about everyone on the Jackets roster not named Werenski or Mateychuk. And JD gave him to Boston for a bag of pucks and a kiss on the cheek. There have been some WTF was (fill in a GMs name) thinking in 25 years, but trading Peeke for nothing worthwhile makes a few of Dougie Mac's moves seem almost acceptable.

Was not waiting to hire Joel Quenneville a mistake? I've heard all the arguments about negative publicity and think they're stupid. Winning excuses everything and I see what Anaheim's done and I wonder if he could have done better with the Jackets roster. Yes, Anaheim has a couple potential superstars. The Jackets already have one in Z and another developing in Kirill Marchenko with KJ a potential star level forward. If the Jackets had waited on Quenneville and were fighting for a playoff spot, I guarantee only a tiny minority (the type who are only happy when they have something to bitch about) would give a hoot about his past.

What's it going to take for Waddell to send Elvis to Cleveland and bring up Fedatov? Yes, Elvis would have to clear waivers. So what? No one is going to claim him with his stats and salary. His modified NTC doesn't matter. Maybe Fedatov won't be a huge improvement, but I think it's bad for the locker room to have someone whom everyone knows is getting bought out ASAP in there. 

Yeah, my mind comes up with some oddball sh*t, but I'm 66, recovering from total knee replacement surgery and single. Of course, I have all kinds of time to think of stuff.
