I follow the World Juniors Tournament this time of year. It's a lot of fun and it is always good to get a look at the best of the next generation of hockey players. (I even remember when Boone Jenner was a key member of the Canadian team.)
Even though there are eight international teams with 23 players (the 284 best young players from around the world) all under the age of 21, the CBJ have exactly ZERO prospects participating this year. I don't recall that happening before.
While we have a number of young players making a contribution at the NHL level, that is not a good reflection of the CBJ prospect pipeline.
